_ACADEMIC ACHIEVEMENT TESTS
_Standardized, norm-referenced achievement tests in grades K-12. These will provide scores based on the student's nationwide rank in reading, reading comprehension, math calculation, math concepts and applications, language expression (grammar usage), and punctuation/capitalization. Optional categories are available in spelling, science, and social studies. Additional writing assessments can be given if desired (these are not nationally ranked).
| DYSLEXIA EVALUATIONS
Choose a full or partial evaluation to determine if dyslexia is your child's struggles. Multiple component areas of dyslexia are assessed including phonological processing (the ability to hear and process sounds in words), sequencing, reading (decoding, fluency, comprehension), visual memory, near and far point copying, paragraph writing, dysgraphia, spelling, basic math, and more. Written reports are optional.

READING SCREENINGS
_Quick 20-30 minute screenings to determine if a student is at risk for reading failure, even in kindergarten! Younger children are assessed in their ability to hear sounds in words, and to break those sounds apart and put them back together. Older children are assessed in passage fluency and decoding accuracy. These can be useful indicators of the need for further testing and/or the need for specialized reading intervention. The earlier a child is assessed in these skills, the easier it is to provide intervention and prevent reading failure. Reading screenings are automatically provided as a full dyslexia evaluation. The assessment is the Dynamic Indicators of Basic Early Literacy Skills (DIBELS). Depending on age, these consists of the following categories: Initial Sound Fluency, Letter-Naming Fluency, Phonemic Segmentation Fluency, Nonsense Word Fluency (to determine if a child can decode unknown words), and Oral Reading Fluency of passages.
| ACADEMIC GAP ASSESSMENTS
These are mainly conducted in the areas of math and reading. Test items from an achievement test or other assessments can be individually analyzed to determine why the student missed that specific test item, the skill involved in that item, etc. For instance, if a math problem has an incorrect answer, the student's work is analyzed to determine if the error was a simple error of miscalculation, or if the concept itself is not being understood (such as not borrowing or carrying.

PRESCHOOL / SCHOOL READINESS
Informal assessments to determine if your child has age-appropriate skill mastery, and if s/he has mastered the skills needed for formal reading and math instruction at the kindergarten or first grade level. Recommendations can be made for parents to work with their child in areas of deficiency, or to get outside tutoring if that is the parent's preference.
